Continuing with iCmedia's goal of promoting responsibility in the digital environment, journalist José Antonio Ricart, president of iCmedia Galicia, makes an interesting reflection in his article "Las líneas Rojas de los Influencers", on the need for content creators to comply with the legality in terms of advertising, information and protection of minors.
In this article, he shows us the measures established in Italy after the controversy of the Ferragni case, and goes deeper into the Royal Decree that regulates the State Registry of Audiovisual Communication Service Providers provided for in the LGA, approved in Spain last December.
An increasing number of minors are using social networks without adult supervision, and they are accessing them at an increasingly younger age. Therefore, among the main guidelines and proposals for improvement in the sector identified in the research for the creation of the White Paper on Responsible Influence, iCmedia identified the pressing need to create specific regulations governing the service provided by content creators.
As Ricart comments in his article, it is not only necessary that the regulation exists, but also that it is enforced.
