CRITICS The drops of God

Quoc Dang Tren is a French screenwriter with many "different" series behind him: Marianne, Call my agent, Office of infiltrators. With The Drops of God he has achieved his best balances. The series features time travel, romance, filiation and a fair amount of oenology in a co-production with a colorful aesthetic.
From the beginning, the creator of the series interpellates the viewer with a slow but sure pace, developing one of those plots that a priori do not seem fascinating. But the originality of the development and some characters of complex intimacy end up building one of the most atypical Apple series and loved by critics and audiences.
The confrontation between the two protagonists is a very vibrant and intellectual conflict between French and Japanese culture, which allows the story to be so effective in the universal feelings it conveys. The delicacy of the staging is combined with a subtle script in which every detail defines the characters, united more by their affective shortcomings than by their undeniable talent.
In short, one of those series that require a somewhat demanding attitude for the viewer, but in which all the pieces end up fitting into a puzzle that moves both emotion and reflection.
